Aero Tech Welcomes a New Director of Maintenance

Gilbert Palacios is joining Aero Tech as our new Director of Maintenance.  Gilbert has over 30 years of helicopter and fixed-wing experience, including 14 years at Air Tractor, Inc.  He is Bell Factory Trained on the Bell 212/412.   His background includes years of engine and airframe inspections as well as management and oversight of aircraft maintenance technicians.  Gilbert has managed worldwide accounts for PT6 and PT6T engines and has provided specialized training on the PT6 engines.  He brings impressive skills for troubleshooting, repairs, operational checks, and maintenance for safe, reliable aircraft performance.   Gilbert and his wife Mary are relocating from Shawnee, Oklahoma so Gilbert can join our crew.  We look forward to having him on our team and extend him a hearty “welcome aboard!”

 New Bell 212 Helicopter

Aero Tech has purchased another Bell 212 helicopter, which will be in service for the 2016 fire season.  In addition to firefighting, the Bell 212 is being configured with state-of-the-art technology for day and night hoist rescue operations.  The helicopter will be equipped and certified for Night Vision Googles (NVG).  It will offer high-performance operations for a range of challenging missions and client needs.
